Job Description

Summary

The Salesforce Admin/Developer handles administration and development within a multi-environment Salesforce Cloud environment. They ensure the smooth and reliable operation of business applications on the Salesforce platform, supporting daily business functions. This role enhances the system to address business needs and improvements, actively participating throughout the project lifecycle and ongoing support. The Admin/Developer configures Salesforce Cloud applications and technology to meet business objectives, ensuring successful implementations and high-quality support. They guide users and less experienced staff in adopting Salesforce solutions and contribute to system architecture, project planning, and development methodologies. The role also involves monitoring and providing guidance to users, contractors, and platform vendors as required.

Responsibilities

The following are the main duties and responsibilities:

Salesforce Administration: Provide system administration support for internal and customer-facing Salesforce environments, primarily related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflow. Maintain system security, integration, upgrade to third-party Salesforce solutions, manage and test rollout of new releases to Salesforce Cloud and Salesforce Community environment. Maintain Sales Cloud, Communities, CPQ, territories, accounts, contacts, and opportunities in response to personnel changes. Maintain ADA compliance with Salesforce Communities.   

Salesforce Development: Develop customized solutions within the SFDC platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals. Proficient in producing clean, reliable, and logical constructs in the SFDC platform. Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases is ideal.

Security Management: Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability and health-check assessments. Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches.

Technical Support Management: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting software issues. Assist in the development and maintenance of IT documentation and knowledge base.

Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations, standards, and security policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation and configuration.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

  2. 5 plus years Salesforce administration experience, with a focus on progressively more complex responsibilities, and 3+ years Development experience.

  3. Solid understanding of web technologies, such as HTTP, .Net, JavaScript, C#, C++, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, and CSS.

  4. Experience with Salesforce Cloud, CPQ, Sales Cloud Community, and Einstein Analytics in multiple environments.

  5. In-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC and have successfully expanded on those capabilities using custom code (Apex, s-controls) and integration with external systems.

  6. Strong understanding of Salesforce Declarative Programming and Administration; develop code, custom objects, Visualforce, Apex, Test classes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and assignment rules.

  7. Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases.

  8. Manufacturing or distribution industry experience is preferred.
