Purpose
Reporting to the Sr. IT Manager of Applications Support, Advancement Data Operations, the Senior Salesforce Administrator will join ADO’s growing Salesforce and applications support team to help drive and execute the design, enhancement, and configuration of TEXAS Development’s new Salesforce-based CRM. This role will serve as the lead ADO resource in providing consultancy and apply best practices based on industry experience.
Responsibilities

Serve as a lead systems administrator for ADO’s Salesforce-based ecosystem. Take ownership of all aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, etc.

Execute salesforce configuration changes, such as Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration etc.

Provision and manage Salesforce environments

Execute and address system errors and user enhancements

Review, prioritize, and oversee the resolution of outstanding configuration decisions as identified by project leads

Assist with technical design and data mapping efforts by eliciting user requirements, documenting user stories, and communicating with both internal and external subject matter experts and data stewards

Monitor Salesforce Product Releases each cycle to proactively prioritize required changes based on assessed impact to managed functionality, including both deprecations, updates, and enhancements.

In partnership with Senior Application Support Specialist, manage and monitor new security enhancement requests, including requests for new permission sets, permission set groups, public groups, and sharing rules while keeping in alignment with the overall organizational security policies

Working alongside our custom development team, manage our overall native Salesforce Automation strategy. Create automations by designing and developing flow patterns, approval processes, and validation rules from a holistic, object-centric approach.

Assess and provide recommendations for future-facing solutions – both vendor-provided and custom developed – as part of ADO’s mission to provide best in class advancement services for standards and process improvements for developers, app builders, and administrators.

Serve as a deployment manager as a lead resource for configuration and code migration. Participate in design and testing activities for the purpose of Business Unit acceptance and package deployment.

Documents system requirements and business process workflows.

Design and configure Salesforce UI to meet business requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Salesforce Administrator, Business Analyst, or serving in a Salesforce administration capacity
- 3+ years of professional experience with developing and managing configuration migration using commonly established deployment patterns
- Expert level understanding of the core Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud) with functional knowledge of the entire product suite, including Marketing Cloud, Integration Cloud, and App Cloud
- Experience integrating Salesforce with third party solutions, including AppExchange apps and external APIs, platform constraints, including API limitations and governor limits
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals with varying skills and from different parts and levels within a complex organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage expectations, prioritize work, and partner with functional and technical stakeholders to achieve project goals or business needs
- Ability to provide coaching, technical mentoring, guidance, and feedback to peers and junior teammates and communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical team members and customers
- Demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks into manageable and measurable work
- Self-directed and dedicated to working as a member of a collaborative team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with fundraising and development terminology and related business processes
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator and/or Platform App Builder certification
- Secondary Certifications or experience with supporting products like Flosum/Copado, OwnBackup, Splunk, Tableau CRM / Event Monitoring, SF Maps, etc.
- 5+ years of professional experience with developing and managing configuration migration using commonly established deployment patterns. This includes a strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- 7+ years of Salesforce administration or business analysis experience
- Knowledge of PCI DSS and HIPAA compliance standards and best practices.
- Master’s degree or higher
Salary Range
$98,000+ depending on qualifications
