What You Will Be Doing:
As a Senior Salesforce developer, you will participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle by supporting existing Salesforce development efforts and troubleshooting issues as they occur. You will consult with process owners in reviewing, interpreting & developing solutions in accordance with user requirements, as well as utilizing these requirements to develop new Salesforce modules. You will have an opportunity to lead component design and suggest new products, applications and features based on industry trends and advances. Finally, you will get an opportunity to work with a diverse team and mentor junior Salesforce developers.
This position must sit out of our IT Development center in Tampa, FL or our Corporate location in Reading, PA.
Penske Responsibilities:
• Be the primary contact and lead support Engineer for multiple Salesforce based applications
• Collaborate with both technical and business leaders and product owners to acquire and understand requirements and acceptance criteria
• Support the application lifecycle (design, develop, test, release and support) based on detailed requirements
• Support mission critical applications in production and assist in the resolution of customer issues
• Triage production issues and work with multiple teams to perform problem analysis
• Produce deliverables with clean, well-documented and easily maintainable code that adheres to defined coding standards
• Evaluate and maintain Salesforce security best practices
• Participate in defining the architecture for mobile enablement of various Salesforce applications
• Independently conduct new hire interviews, including assisting in assessing candidate technical skills
• Build Salesforce solutions on Salesforce Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Communities and Salesforce Knowledge Base
• Assign and review tasks from junior and offshore software engineers
• Work with a global team of Salesforce programming and declarative expert
Qualifications
Penske Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math or Information Systems or equivalent development experience
• 8+ years of overall technology experience with at least 3 years’ experience in Salesforce programming in the following technologies required: Lightning Components, Work Bench, Data Loader, Visual Studio, Sales CLI, APEX, Force.com custom development, triggers, controllers, Force.com SOAP and REST APIs, JSON, sObjects, SOQL, SOSL, outbound messaging and creating Visual Force Pages
• 2+ years’ experience leading several medium to large sized projects simultaneously and effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• 1+ years’ experience working in Lightning experience required
• Strong understanding of Workflows, Reports, Process Builder, Flow, triggers, and SOQL
• Developer Certifications such as Platform Developer I and/or Platform Developer II preferred
• Experience building Lightning Aura Components
• Experience with web-based technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Communities
• Experience with ETL tools to send data between Salesforce and backend databases
• Experience in database modeling
• Familiarity with Aura Framework
• Solid written and oral communication skills; ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
